International Request

Today we closed our internship with a Seminar called International Request. In this seminar we showed our work, experience and learning during the weeks we spent at LATINA Lab. The seminar took place in LATINA’s classroom since there were less than 20 people participating (including us).

Before International Request

Today is the big day!!!

Today, thursday December 10th is a very important day for Norway and for us. It is for Norway because president Obama is here to receive his Peace Prize, and for us because we are doing our last task as LATINA’s trainees. We are doing our Final Seminar; International Request.

Preparing the Final Seminar

Yesterday we spent all day working on what we are going to present next thursday. We were correcting grammar and improving redaction of the Powerpoint texts. We worked on the style and order of the presentation. We worked hard polishing everything and discussing what to include and what to skip.

15th day at LATINA

Yesterday we spent some time finishing editing the videos. Rafael worked on convert all videos; all raw materials and final videos into AVI, Windows Media and MPG4. He was a great technical support while editing. He showed me how to do some things with Pinnacle Software, such as; how to add text, how to add transitions, and so forth.

In Spain again

Here I am in Tarragona, Spain. I arrived here late afternoon last thursday November 3rd.

14th day at LATINA

I am delayed on my writings!!!! Well, I’ve been working on ACHRON course papers. Now I am in Tarragona, Spain. Yes, very far from Oslo and my internship. But I tell about this on another post. Lets  start from the last day I was in HIO and LATINA.

One day in ACHRON Course

As a task, I was asked to visual document one day at ACHRON Course.

This is a half time continuing education course (post-bachelor) in digitization and digital communication in museums run by the department of Librarian in collaboration with LATINA Lab. It lasted three (3) separated weeks, being this week from 16th to 20th the last one. Participants were also working outside classroom through their Blogs.

ACHRON Course

What is ACHRON?

ACHRON (Art and Cultural Heritage Resources ON-line) is a project within LATINA Lab. It was born from the need of museums to train their staff in the use of digital tools.  

13th day at LATINA

Today we met with Helge and continued planing our seminar; International Request. New issues come up each time we meet and peak about that.

Today also, Lidia and me took some time with Helge trying to understand ACHRON project and the aim of the museum (ACHRON) course. He told us how everything started and how it continues in developing.
